Bipul Chettri needs no introduction when it comes to Nepali music. Bipul Chettri is a folk rock singer, musician and a song writer. He is mainly known for his successful single 'Syndicate'. Bipul has ventured into the contemporary folk and folk rock genre.
Bipul Chettri was born in Darjeeling, India in a family with love for music as his grandfather was poet and his grandmother used to play sitar. His father Narendra Mohan Chettri was a singer and used to perform in various events in Darjeeling but sadly he died when Bipul was very young. He studied in St. Augustine's School, Kalimpong and got his degree from Licentiate of Trinity College, London in classic guitar.
Bipul Chettri was introduced through social platform SoundCloud in 2013 with his song Wildfire (Dadhelo) which became so much popular among Nepalese music lovers. Later he released 'Sketches of Darjeeling' in 2014 as a debut album. The songs included in the album are 'Mountain High', 'Wildfire (Dadhelo)', 'Asaar', 'Deorali Darah', 'Ram Sailee' and 'Rail Garee'. He dedicated 'Ram Sailee' to his father because it was originally written by his father. In 2016, he released his second album 'Maya'. His debut album became top selling album on indie online music retail store oklisten.com and for his second album 'Maya' , he became the top selling artists on the same online site. He has recently released his brand new singles Basant and Gahiro Gahiro. His most successful single 'Syndicate' was released in October 2015. He has performed in various musical concerts all over the world with his Travelling Band.
